All Gearboxes that come in are pressure washed, degreased and disassembled. After Gearbox is apart, all gears are cleaned visually inspected for ware and broken teeth and then Magnafluxed to check for any hidden cracks. After an Evaluation is complete, we call or email a quote.
After approval is given for repairs, Blanks are made and New Gears Are Cut using A Magg Gear Shaper or Liebherr Gear Hobber. Gears are then heat treated or flame surface hardened to bring them back to original manufacturer specification of hardness.
After all gears have been Made, the Gearbox is ready to be reassembled. All bearing and seal surfaces are machined and polished. New Bearings are put on and all seals are replaced. the Gearbox it tested and ran for six to eight hours and then opened and inspected. Once gearbox is ready, it is then painted and ready for shipping.
